Blogworld and New Media Expo Comes to New York
Leo Laporte Keynote at Blogworld & NME 2009
I was very excited to learn that BlogWorld and New Media Expo are doing their first east coast event this May when they announced it a few weeks ago. Previous Blogworld & New Media Expo events took place in Las Vegas, NV. For once I will now be able to attend a expo without having to fly there (I don't mind the actual flying, it is everything else that is part of the commercial airline experience I could do without).

Photo Walking 2010… Officially.
After participating in last year's Worldwide Photo Walk (WWPW), I contemplated leading a walk myself this year. Before I knew it, it was July already (the month of the walk). When I checked to see what walks were available locally to me this year and saw that there were none, I immediately scrambled organizing a walk myself. Once I had the details worked out, I proceeded to submit my application to lead the walk prior to the posted deadline only for their website to erroneous tell me that applications were no longer being accepted past their deadline and therefore would not allow me to submit it. There was no recourse either.

On The Examination Table
A couple months ago, the Examiner posted a video interview of Doctor Who: Podshock consisting of Ken Deep, James Naughton, and myself conducted by Chris McKeon. This time, I am on the examination table so to speak in this latest interview with examiner.com once again by Chris McKeon.

5 Reasons To Go To Blogworld & New Media Expo 2009
TWIT Live at NME '08: Leo Laporte streaming liveNext month is the Blogworld & New Media Expo 2009. October 15 - 17, 2009 is the first expo/confonrence after Blogworld merged with the New Media Expo. It is a trade show for anyone involved with new media. Be it podcasting, blogging, social media, vblogging, etc. there is something for you at the Blogworld & New Media Expo.
I attended last year for the New Media Expo 2008 in Las Vegas, NV and found it enlightening to be around like-minded individuals working in new media.
James Naughton
James Naughton has been a sci-fi fan for as long as he can remember. Growing up in the UK, he spent most of his early years cowering behind the sofa to the Daleks.
Always interested in technology, in early 2005 he started his own podcast, about everything and anything. This lead to involvement in various other shows, such as Rough, Ready and Raw and Doctor Who: Podshock. These days though, he prefers to invest his time podcasting solely about science fiction.
Ken Deep
Ken Deep comes to podcasting from the traditional broadcasting medium. Having honed his skills in professional radio and television broadcasting, he applies the same vigor and enthusiasm to our podcasts.
He, along with Louis Trapani were there from the beginning of the Gallifreyan Embassy and helped to bring it to where it is today. His extensive knowledge of science fiction is evident in all our shows.
Louis Trapani
Louis Trapani founded the Gallifreyan Embassy in June of 1985 to serve the growing fandom centered around Doctor Who and other British science fiction during the mid-80s in the US. Originally a local organization with local meetings, today it is international, serving the global community.
In 1989, Louis graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York where he majored in the media arts department.
He formed Art Trap Productions in 1994.
